Human rights and cybersecurity have a complicated relationship because, while cybersecurity is necessary to safeguard human rights in the digital era, improper management of it can have serious negative effects on such rights. As a result, it is critical to approach cybersecurity as a matter of human rights and to make sure that cybersecurity practices and regulations are grounded in these values.
