Frequency

IJLSI publishes six issues a year. Manuscripts are accepted on a rolling basis, and each issue’s call for papers is announced on the call for papers page.

Originality

A manuscript must be the authors’ own original work. It must not have been published before, and it must not be under review anywhere else while it is under review at IJLSI. A manuscript found to be under review elsewhere is rejected.

Peer review and revisions

Every manuscript is reviewed double-blind by two independent reviewers, as described in the peer review process. Where the reviewers ask for changes, the authors must make them before the paper goes forward.

Copyright and licence

No paper is published without a copyright declaration signed by the author or authors. Copyright in a published paper vests with the Journal, and every paper is published open access under the CC BY-NC 4.0 licence, as set out in the open access policy.

Charges

There is no charge to submit. An article processing charge is payable only after a manuscript has been accepted.

Withdrawal

Authors who wish to withdraw a manuscript must tell the editorial board by email, well before publication. Once a manuscript has been published, it cannot be withdrawn or removed. The refund and cancellation policy explains what happens to a charge already paid.

The permanent record

Published papers are part of the permanent scholarly record: they stay freely available, each with a permanent DOI. Errors and concerns about published papers are dealt with through corrections, expressions of concern or retractions, as set out in the publication ethics statement.
