Categories and word limits
Manuscripts must fall within the scope of law. Word limits are exclusive of footnotes; up to four co-authors are permitted.

Initial screening for scope and plagiarism, then double-blind assessment by our reviewers. Decision by email.
Formalities
On acceptance, complete the copyright form and the article processing charge. On acceptance.
Publish
Live publication in 2–5 working days, with a permanent DOI and e-certificates for all authors. 2–5 days.

Submission guidelines
What your manuscript should meet.
- Original & unpublished. The work must be your own, not published or under review elsewhere.
- No plagiarism. Plagiarism of any kind is prohibited and grounds for rejection.
- Relevant & original. The Board favours manuscripts that are contemporary, topical and creative.
- Uniform citation. Any consistent method of citation may be used throughout.
- Up to four co-authors. Co-authorship is permitted up to a maximum of four authors.
- Copyright. Copyright rests with the Editorial Board once a paper is selected and the authors are notified; the final decision on acceptance rests with the Board.

Frequently asked questions
Are student submissions accepted?
Yes. The Journal accepts submissions from students at any university, provided the manuscript meets the submission guidelines. Student-authored manuscripts are subject to the same double-blind review process as all other submissions.
What is the maximum number of authors per manuscript?
Co-authorship is permitted up to a maximum of four authors. The article processing charge depends on the number of authors; see the charges below.
Are submissions in languages other than English accepted?
No. The Journal accepts manuscripts in English only.
When is the article processing charge payable?
Only after your manuscript is accepted for publication. No charge is applicable at the time of submission or during the review process.
How can the status of a submitted manuscript be tracked?
Status is available in real time at ijlsi.com/track-manuscript using your Manuscript ID. Notifications are sent by email and WhatsApp at each stage, to the first author.
Is a hard copy of the certificate provided?
An e-certificate is issued to each author at no charge upon publication. Hard copies of certificates and paper booklets can be ordered separately by Indian authors.
